~1 min
  • 1In the app (fastest). Open Kledon → SettingsDelete account, and confirm. Your account and everything tied to it are hard-deleted within 7 days.
  • 2By email. Can't open the app? Email hello@kledon.app from your account's email address and we'll delete it for you — same 7-day result.
§ 01

Delete it in the app.

The fastest way to delete your Kledon account is from inside the app. It takes three taps and removes everything tied to your account.

  1. Open the Kledon app on your phone (iOS or Android) and make sure you're signed in.
  2. Go to Settings — the gear on the main screen.
  3. Tap Delete account and confirm when asked.
!Once you confirm, your account and all associated data are permanently (hard) deleted within 7 days. This can't be undone — there's no recycle bin and no way to recover the account afterwards.
§ 02

Delete it by email.

Can't open the app — lost your phone, already uninstalled Kledon, or switched devices? You can still ask us to delete your account by email.

Email hello@kledon.app from the email address tied to your account. Sending from your own address is how we confirm the request is really you — we won't action a deletion that arrives from a different address without checking first.

We'll reply to confirm we've received it, then hard-delete your account and its data within 7 days — the exact same outcome as the in-app button. A human handles it, and we answer within seven days, usually within one.

§ 03

What gets deleted.

Deleting your account is a hard delete, not a hide — the records are removed from our live database, not just flagged inactive. That includes:

  • Your account and email address — the identity the whole account is built on.
  • Your watchlist — every ETF and stock ticker you follow.
  • Notification preferences and push tokens — the anonymous device identifiers used to send your daily brief, and your per-ticker notification settings.
  • The link between your usage analytics and your account — any product-usage events tied to your user id are unlinked, leaving only anonymous, aggregate counts that can't be traced back to you.
§ 04

What we keep, and for how long.

We remove essentially everything straight away. Two narrow exceptions exist only where good backup hygiene or the law requires it:

  • Backups — purged within 30 days. Our encrypted database backups roll over on a schedule; any copy of your data still sitting in a backup is purged within 30 days of deletion.
  • Legally required records — kept per law (~5 years). Where we're legally obliged to keep financial or tax records, Greek law typically requires around 5 years, and we retain only those specific records even after your account is gone.
iKledon is a free public beta right now. There are no payments and no card data — Kledon never collects card numbers — so in practice there is nothing financial to retain today. The 5-year rule only ever applies to invoices once paid plans exist.

This mirrors the retention windows in our Privacy Policy, which has the full line-by-line detail.

§ 05

Questions.

If anything here is unclear, or a deletion didn't go the way you expected, write to hello@kledon.app. There's a human on the other end. You can also ask for a copy of your data before you delete it — see the Privacy Policy for how the export works.
