TL;DR — the four sentences that matter

If you only read one box,

~30s read
  • Kledon is not financial advice. It's a plain-English read of the day's public news about the tickers you follow. What you do with your money is your call.
  • The beta is free. Right now everyone gets full access at no cost. There's nothing to pay and no card required.
  • You can leave any time. Delete your account in one tap under Settings → Delete account, and it's gone within 7 days.
  • We can't promise the numbers are perfect. Prices and news come from third parties and our summaries are generated automatically — treat them as a starting point, not gospel.
§ 01

The agreement.

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are the agreement between you and Kledon for the use of our marketing site (kledon.app) and the Kledon iOS & Android apps (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Kledon.

The operating entity is in the process of being incorporated in Greece. Until then Kledon is run by its founder. You can reach a human any time at hello@kledon.app.

These Terms work alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and why.

§ 02

What Kledon is.

Kledon turns the day's public news about the ETFs and stocks you choose to follow into a short, plain-English read, along with a simple signal (Bullish / Neutral / Bearish) and the headlines behind it. The goal is to help you stay informed in a couple of minutes a day.

Kledon is an information tool. It doesn't connect to your brokerage, it never sees your balance, holdings, or trades, and it can't buy or sell anything for you. You type in tickers; we read public news and prices about them.

§ 03

Not financial advice.

!Kledon is not financial, investment, legal, or tax advice, and it is not a recommendation, solicitation, or offer to buy or sell any security. The reads and signals in the app are general information about publicly available news — not personal advice tailored to your situation.

We're not a licensed investment firm, broker, or financial adviser, and using Kledon doesn't create any advisory or fiduciary relationship. Markets are risky and past performance doesn't predict future results — you can lose money. Every investment decision you make is your own, and we strongly suggest doing your own research and speaking to a qualified professional before acting.

§ 04

Who can use it.

Kledon is built for adults making their own decisions. You must be 18 or older and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. If you're using Kledon on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you're allowed to accept these Terms for it.

§ 05

Your account.

Sign-in is passwordless — magic links and Apple / Google sign-in — so there's no password to remember or leak. You are responsible for keeping access to your email and devices secure, and for activity that happens under your account.

Keep the details you give us accurate (mainly your email). You can delete your account any time under Settings → Delete account; we hard-delete your data within 7 days, as described in the Privacy Policy.

§ 06

The beta.

Kledon is currently in free public beta. That means:

  • Everyone gets full access at no cost — there is nothing to pay and no card required during the beta.
  • Things may change or break. Features can be added, changed, or removed, and the Service may be interrupted for maintenance. We'll do our best to keep it running, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service during the beta.
  • We'll tell you before anything costs money. When we introduce paid plans, we'll let beta users know in advance, and the payment terms below will apply from then on.
§ 07

Plans & payments.

These terms apply once paid plans go live (they don't affect the free beta):

  • Subscriptions. Premium is a recurring subscription that renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel any time; your access continues until the end of the period you've paid for.
  • Payment processing. Payments are handled by our payment processor and, on mobile, may run through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Kledon never sees or stores your card number.
  • EU right of withdrawal. If you're a consumer in the EU, you have a 14-day right to withdraw from a purchase. Where a free trial applies, no charge is taken until the trial ends.
  • Price changes. We may change prices, but never for a period you've already paid for — changes apply from your next renewal, and we'll give you notice first.
§ 08

Acceptable use.

Fair play. Please don't:

  • scrape, bulk-download, resell, or redistribute Kledon's content or data, or use it to build a competing product;
  • reverse-engineer, tamper with, or try to break the Service, its security, or its rate limits;
  • use the Service unlawfully, to infringe someone else's rights, or to access another user's account; or
  • misuse our access to abuse third-party news or data providers.
§ 09

Content & intellectual property.

Kledon, its name, look, and the software behind it belong to us. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own use while you comply with these Terms — that's it, no other rights transfer to you.

The news headlines and articles we link to belong to their publishers and are governed by their own terms; we point you to public reporting, we don't own it. Market prices and company data come from third-party providers. Use all of it for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.

§ 10

Disclaimers & liability.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows. Prices, news, and the reads and signals we generate can be delayed, incomplete, or wrong — our summaries are generated automatically from public sources and are not verified line by line. Don't rely on them as your only source when money is on the line.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kledon is not liable for any investment losses or for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Where liability can't be excluded, it's limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (which, during the free beta, is zero). Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can't legally be waived.

§ 11

Ending things.

You can stop using Kledon and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to others or to the Service — we'll give you notice where we reasonably can. The sections that should survive (IP, disclaimers, liability) do.

§ 12

Changes, law & contact.

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. If we make a material change, we'll email everyone with an account and put a notice in the app or on the site before it takes effect. Continuing to use Kledon after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece, and the courts of Greece have jurisdiction — without taking away any mandatory consumer protections you have where you live.
